Go to the Applications folder and put the Acrobat Reader app in the trash. Then go to Adobe's site, nowhere else, and download a fresh copy of the Acrobat DC Reader. As I recall, what downloads is a small file that when run, downloads and installs the app directly from Adobe's servers.
