Constance wants to feel desirable and is scared of loneliness. She begins a relationship with a much younger man so that she could feel wanted. Constance clings to this relationship, not because she loves Travis, but because the relationship makes her feel young. She is often quite cagey in the relationship and was jealous of the time Travis was spending with Addie.
