I had some super old ass version from launching it years ago. I used the 'Get Epic Games' button in the upper right corner to fetch a newer installer and updated. The old one wasn't cooperating for me, probably because I had W7 back then on this PC and the migration to W10 and other hardware upgrades were confusing things.
