Safari is another matter. Apple has blocked use of the Java 6 plug-in and has not announced a plan to upgrade Java 6 for Lion / Mountain Lion yet. You might be able to use Firefox with Java 6 by agreeing to override the warning they give you. If you are not able to use your browser on a web site with Java 7 then follow these instructions to restore the Java 6 plug-in
