Yes, the option is there, which takes forever if you always keep a copy of your messages. However, after sending the messages across from Android to iPhone and registering my Whatsapp account on iPhone, it fail to import the Whatsapp messages, suggesting something had gone wrong during the preparation and transfer. This was much to my surprise, as it had taken hours to prepare and transfer the messages across, and did not show any error, whilst doing so.
