Ultima can also be used by captured fiends: either by consuming 60 Supreme Gems to teach them Ultima or by equipping them with the Megiddo Garment Grid. Various creatures are capable of learning Ultima by being at a high-enough level and surviving powerful magic attacks: Flan Azabache, Black Elemental, Mushroom Cloud, Jumbo Cactuar, Trema, and Almighty Shinra.
