Let's start fresh here. I suggest removing all the printer drivers for both printers. It sounds like both printers are connected to your computer via USB. Is this correct? After the drivers are removed, install the HP DesignJet driver. The most current version I found was from 2013. It extracted to a temp folder. Go to the Windows Printer Control Panel and manually select the extracted driver. Once it is installed, print a test page.
