Educator here, in the same boat. We bought about 60 microcontrollers for our kids, and now as we were about to start... they can't connect, since the Arduino Cloud for Chromebook app is taken down. I brought one controller home and somehow, but not really understanding how I did it, managed to get it to connect to that Chromebook. I did install the Arduino Create for Education Chromebook app, not sure if that helped. At least we can now see that people from the Arduino team are working with the problem, on their support page. But it would really be wonderful to be able to let the kids actually try their code on a real microcontroller. We did pay good money for it!
