I think that this proves we need a collaborative platform rather than a competitive platform for RC patrol - the pressure to "get to the next diff" must not overrule full examination of all changes, and the rate at which the English Wikipedia is edited (anywhere from 100 edits a minute upwards) means that one person cannot hope to inspect every single change -only by dividing and conquering can we actually approach a level of effective RC patrol.
