One day after becoming emperor, Ying Zheng found an unexpected offer. After finding the staff of the legendary Monkey King, Ying Zheng made his first journey into the realm of the gods. Ying Zheng then encountered the legendary heavenly dragon god Zhao Ming. Zhao Ming then gave him an offer, if Ying Zheng could calm Fulong, the dragon god of wind, he would receive heaven's blessing and become a Dragon Emperor. Ying Zheng accepted the offer and set out to find Fulong. Upon finding Fulong, Ying Zheng tries to calm the dragon, but Fulong launches a massive tornado in his direction. Ying Zheng manages to escape using one of the spells given to him by Zhao Ming to aid him in his quest. Ying Zheng then tries to understand why Fulong is angry, and Fulong says it's because one of his treasures was stolen. Ying then sets out to find the thief. Along the way, Ying Zheng discovers that the thief was actually Huolong, the dragon god of fire. Ying Zheng goes to look for Huolong, but when he arrives, he finds that the Dragon was too powerful for him to face. Ying, however, manages to distract the Dragon and retrieves the stolen item. When trying to return the treasure to Fulong, however, Ying Zheng discovers that he has fallen into a trap. The Treasure he had retrieved and which he was holding was actually cursed, draining his life energy. Fulong then launches an attack on a greatly weakened Ying Zheng. On the brink of death, and before Fulong can deliver his final blow, Ying Zheng is saved by Zhao Ming, who fulfills his promise that he has recovered the treasure, and gives him the blessing he promised him. Ying Zheng instantly recovers, and becomes the new Dragon Emperor. With the newly acquired blessing, Ying Zheng now not only possesses various supernatural and divine powers, but can also transform into a huge and powerful Dragon. He became immortal, a God-king, and could only be killed by divine weapons and powers.
