Foxy the Pirate is a character that is active throughout all nights in the game. However, his AI setting is low at the beginning, so he won't leave Pirate's Cove until Night 2. If left unchecked for the entire night, Foxy will reach the player. Foxy will only appear on cameras in Pirate's Cove and will go through three individual phases. The player can delay him by frequently checking the camera, but as the nights progress, this mechanic will require the player to constantly check him. Once Foxy goes through all his phases in Pirate's Cove, he will appear in the West Hall, running towards the player and eventually reaching the Office. If the player fails to close the door while Foxy is away from Pirate's Cove, he will jumpscare the player.
