Due to the heavy psychological themes which feature children, the game focuses on how children grow up, what sort of experiences they may have, and how this can factor into their development. It explores children's cruelty towards each other alongside animals. It also takes into consideration what factors have led into these occurring such as trauma, a lack of adult supervision, and how child innocence can be corrupted. One theme is the difference between a child's and an adult's way of thinking and how children might treat adults if they were given power over them.
