As these are related to the UEFI in the chips on the machines, my understanding is they will need a firmware upgrade from the manufacturers. As someone who has a couple of old machines, I suspect those will never be patched as they have had no manufacturer BIOS updates for many years. I will be delighted to be proved wrong
