The WindowsUpdate entry is not in the regedit. I think this is because windows update has never ran (because it gets this error) on my newly created partition with sp1. I am just stabbing in the dark here. Any further guidance would be greatly appreciated. I am on a home network, behind no firewall, and just reformatted my computer with a legit 64 bit windows 7 home premium disc up to service pack 1.
