I recently have problem with my operating system, windows 10 home 64 bit, system was corrupted, tried to use HP recovery program , didint work, looks like the recovery partition was affected as well. So the only option for me was to reinstall the windows 10 . I already backed up my documents and files so luckily I ddidnt loose those files, however I lost all the preinstalled softwares. I used another laptop to create windows 10 bootable disk from windows media creation tool and install fresh windows 10 and then reinstall all the softwares again and copy the backup files to the new restore system.
