This may seem silly with duplicative code, but (a) my attempts to create functions to return the new frame rows and cols fell flat , so as usual with eLisp "don't touch it! It's working!" and (b) you might want to set a different size from the first window to extra windows. In fact, set one just so you don't get embarrassed if someone reads it.
