Perhaps the thing I like most about this book is that there is a horror element to it, which has been missing from the treatment of vampires for the last 20 years. The book is scary and Sweet seems like he's going to become even scarier. Snyder came up with the story and concept of these ever-evolving vampires and Sweet seems like he's going to be the baddest of the bad. He thrives on the sunlight and has fangs like a rattlesnake.
