I too have a problem with converting say a 3 hour .dav file to .avi. It simply does not play and I go back and reload just the amount of file that I need. (less than an hour) Then it works fine. I thought I was the only one with this problem. With analog or CVI I can use 2or3 hours of recording and manipulate it just fine. Oh my converted .avi files do not work in Pinnacle Studio movie editor but it does work in Windows Movie Maker in Windows 10. (must be a bit of .dav left in it and converting to .avi)(avi file finalized in Windows Movie Maker works fine in Pinnacle, an extra step but it works)
