@bekado, I completely agree this is temporary. It in no way resolves the ticket I submitted. With the toolbar hidden I disabled the anti-spam tool in the add-on manager and restarted Thunderbird. And the add-on manager shows it as re-enabled. So this is still churning away in the background with the toolbar hidden.
