Tiny details like this may seem inconsequential if you\u2019re from the privileged group \u2013 and certainly I, as a white person, can\u2019t speak to the Black experience or how Black people might react to the story \u2013 but for me, in my experience as a white queer person, these kind of tiny details mean the world. They\u2019re a sign that the creators know that I am here and are actively welcoming me into the world they\u2019ve made.
