At the moment I have the Local Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) of my Win 10 Pro v1909 OS configured to prevent Windows Update from installing device drivers (Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | Windows Components | Windows Update | Do Not Include Drivers with Windows Update | ENABLED) while I'm trying to troubleshoot some other problems on my computer so I'd rather not uninstall the HID-compliant touchpad in Device Manager and re-boot right now just to see what happens. I'd rather have a glitchy touchpad than no a non-functional touchpad if something goes wrong.
