On Day 5, Jim wakes up and checks the computer. The Newspaper tells about how the Mayor has given his authority to the Military and has ordered a shelter in place warning, while continuing to deny any connection between the refinery incident and the disappearances. Jim goes to the shop and ordered a Hammer, some Planks, and a weird black square. When the packages arrive, Jim uses the Hammer and Planks to board up each of his windows.
