Rojo made his first appearance for Argentina in 2011 and earned 61 caps over eight years. He was part of their side which reached the 2014 FIFA World Cup Final. He was also a Copa Amrica runner-up in 2015 and 2016 and took part in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
