I noticed that recently (Jan, 2022) it seems like QuickBooks gave me "warnings" about needing to login to my Intuit account to open the company file (which again is insane) but I could eventually by-pass or otherwise decline their login. I am still not 100% sure that not logging into the Intuit account can continue (or if they will require it again...) but I certainly hope so.
