Despite the on-set horrors, the Man in the Godzilla suit was once again enlisted for the filming of King Kong vs. Godzilla. This time, he exhibited less cooperation, feeling disgruntled over the suit's more family-friendly appearance and his forced collaboration with Americans, particularly with an American kaiju, a bitter reminder of their country's crimes against Japan which had claimed his family. Viewing Shoichi Hirose, the actor in the King Kong suit, as a traitor for portraying Kong, the Man in the Godzilla suit would unleash roaring tirades towards the Americans, often needing to be restrained like a caged lion in a zoo.
