Envelope and Pitch only detect signals at the front input of the Axe-Fx II and AX8, and Input 1 left rear (Axe-Fx II). The FX8 lets you adjust this for POST-only setups. The Axe-Fx III, FM9, and FM3 have expanded possibilities and their Pitch block(s) have their own detectors.
