If you want to cut text from one window in the VM and paste it into another,you should be able to highlight the text and then type ctrl-c (or in aterminal window, ctrl-shift-C, since ctrl-c is the interrupt signal). Topaste, type ctrl-v (or ctrl-shift-V in a terminal window).
