I could not do an A/B test on the sound quality, but the continuous annoying behaviour of Euphony V4 trial on my system made me think twice to go that way.
Despite the bugs during the trial period I decided in advance to give my trust to Euphony and purchase a lifetime licence. However, as it became a subscription based service, this path is simply not worth for me, as I would be using it only as an operating system, along with Roon and HQPlayer. Maybe if they offer Euphony as OS only (with licence, instead of subscription) and if it runs smoothly with Roon and HQPlayer I might consider using it.
