His tattoo represents his ambition to climb the ranks of the Tojo Clan, as in Japanese and Chinese mythology, the Koi must swim upstream the Yellow River through the dragon's gate of Longmen to turn into a dragon. In Yakuza 0, only his tattoo's outline is finished.
