Once Day 8 has arrived, Medium Tanks begin to replace Light Tanks as the mainstay of a nation's army. However, as Light Tanks are more mobile and cheaper to produce, Medium Tanks often never completely replace their lighter contemporaries, but serve alongside them for much of the game.
