The quest seems a little off from the start, with many clues suggesting the shop might not be all as it seems. The abandoned and run-down building seems out of place among the bustling and thriving businesses in central Hogsmeade. Penny also has a strange tendency to cover her mouth and suddenly hold her breath when she fears she's revealed too much in conversation. She implies that previous tenants were driven out of the shop and that players may not want to open the chest from which her mistress, Cassandra Mason, has asked the player to retrieve some belongings. It's upon entering this chest, which turns out to contain a ladder down to a haunted cellar, that the horror truly sets in.
