A unit of Alibaba Group became the title sponsorof the Club World Cup in December 2015. Three months later, Dalian Wanda Group Cobecame a FIFA sponsor at the highest level, paying $150 million per four-year World Cupcycle to put its name alongside Coca-Cola Co and adidas AG.
