The trumpet vine has a fantastic symbiotic relationship with the Ruby-throated Hummingbird, which has a beak that is perfectly suited for reaching into the long, orange, trumpet-like blossoms. And as it goes into the blossoms and feeds on the nectar within, a little bit of pollen will shake off onto its head. And then, as it pops along and goes from blossom to blossom, it helps to fertilize the vine as well, thus ensuring that they may hopefully have a nice, long life.
