Graphical Linux systems commonly use the X Window System (a.k.a. X11), usedto manage and draw application windows on the screen. This system is veryflexible & modular, which comes to good use in our case. X has various serverimplementations, not just for Linux but also for Windows, acting as a system forrendering windows.
