Max, who was hidden in a bathroom stall at the time, awoken her time manipulation powers. In doing so, Max manages to save Chloe and give her long-lost childhood friend a much-needed second chance. At the time, Chloe was seeking answers about the disappearance of her friend Rachel Amber, who is more heavily featured in the Life is Strange prequel Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
