The present paper addresses the treatment and evolution of popular and traditional games-sports in the Spanish society, specifically in the educational context. The role of these games in the physical education lessons contributes toward an enhancement the academic curriculum while proportioning experience and knowledge of places and their culture. Moreover, there will be an achievement of cultural experiences of students. Similarly, there is a need for attention to a series of different characteristics and classifications of popular and traditional games-sport that facilitate their correct execution by students and teachers which allow a better progress of students and teachers. The students improve their motor skills, knowledge of the community and social relationships while the teachers are going to experience greater abilities for their classes in their teaching tasks.
