If you plan to use unsupported Dimensions CM with unsupported Internet Explorer (or old version of Firefox) using deprecated Java applets, you may try installing JRE 8 (32-bit). There could be also set of Java/IE preferences you need to switch, so browser loads applets ( -11-cant-find-java-plugin-to-run-applet, -java-plugin-for-internet-explorer-without-installing-java, etc.).
