How To Do Motherlode On Sims 3 Mac

Since upgrading to Ventura (now 13.1) and, more to the point, Zoom (now 5.12.9) Zoom hangs any time I have tried to open, unless I am in Safe Mode, where it appears to operate normally. I just did the Zoom update on the Zoom prompt to update, which yielded the error code others have seen in trying to update, but I got around that. However, it is now stuck. Restarting does not help. Removing and reinstalling the app (with Uninstaller Sensei to catch the stuff I otherwise would have missed) does not help. Turning off Hardware Acceleration in the app doesn't help. So Zoom has created a conflict where there was not one before. Is there an economical procedure to try to determine where that conflict is, that won't result in a day waiting for my Mac to reboot?
